Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy (born June 26, 1992) is an American screenwriter, singer and former actress who co-starred in the Emmy-nominated Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly. She has also guest starred in a number of other television series, including Malcolm in the Middle, Will & Grace, Strong Medicine, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Before iCarly, McCurdy guest starred in the "Bad Girl" episode of Zoey 101 as Trisha Kirby. She also starred in the Nickelodeon TV movie The Last Day of Summer as Dory Sorenson. Following the success of iCarly she had a recurring role on True Jackson, VP as Pinky Turzo in the episodes "Amanda Hires a Pink" and "True Drama". She also played Sam's twin sister Melanie Puckett in the iCarly episode "iTwins", a character mentioned several times since.

She also voiced Becky in the The Penguins of Madagascar episode "Badger Pride", and on Glenn Martin, DDS as Mazy in the episode "Courtney's Pony". She also played Bertha in Fred: The Movie, a role which was not reprised for the sequel. She was replaced by Daniella Monet. McCurdy also starred with her iCarly co-star Jerry Trainor in the original movie Best Player as Chris Saunders, also known by her gaming nickname "Prodigy". She also starred in a show called Sam & Cat, based on her iCarly character.
